“She was reserved, cool and amiable…it was hard to pick her
out from the rest,” said a medic, who interacted with her at the nutritional
department.
“She was among students whose performance we assessed in the
month of May and her ratings were okay,” the Nationquoted another county
hospital employee, who sought anonymit
Another unidentified employee described her as “an introvert”,
that she rarely mingled freely with others.
“When through with her day duties, she would quietly slip
away,” said the medic.
Ms Ngumbu, 21, was a nutritional student and had just
completed her studies at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Karen Campus
and was hoping to graduate in December.
The Medical Superintendent in charge of the Naivasha health
facility, Dr Joseph Mburu, confirmed that indeed Ngumbu undertook her
internship there.
“She was among the student on attachment commonly referred
to as rural experience programme,” he said.
Mburu went on to add that Ngumbu successfully completed the
attachment programme and had since left.
Journalists traced her home to Gachie, Kiambu County.
Her body was found a few meters from where the body of
Msando lay at Muguga Forest, Kikuyu Sub-county. According to eye witnesses, she
had no visible injuries and her clothes were missing save for her underwear.
