– Jubilee Party is under attack after a video showing its
agents bribing voters emerged
– The video shows the party agents dishing out money to
supporters who were supposed to attend a Jubilee rally at Tononoka in return
– This comes just a week after an ODM politician was caught
buying votes for KSh 50
A clip showing a Jubilee Party agent dishing out money to
Mombasa residents ahead of a mega Jubilee rally held at Tononoka Grounds on
Wednesday, August 2, has emerged ,sparking heated debates on social media
barely a week to the ballot.
Jubilee Party, led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy
William Ruto painted Mombasa red in a campaign streak that climaxed at the
Tononoka grounds.
The rally was crowded to the extreme, giving an impression
that Mombasa was a Jubilee Stronghold, however a latest video showing Jubilee
agents ‘bribing’ residents to attend the rally has proved otherwise.
The video seen by TUKO.co.ke shows thousands of Mombasa
residents lining up to receive money from Jubilee agents who wanted them to
attend the president’s rally, whether they were Jubilee supporters or not.
While countless people pointed an accusing finger to Jubilee
,calling them all manner of names, others hit back at ODM and NASA in general,
reminding everyone of the recent case involving an ODM politician who was
caught on camera dishing out money to supporters.
As reported by TUKO.co.ke earlier, Ababu Namwamba's opponent
Raphael Wanjala was caught dishing out KSh 50 to supporters to sway them into
voting for him in August.
Jubilee Party has not yet reacted to news of the video.
