In a memorial service that was live streamed by Mpasho
through Facebook, Shana, has described her father as a brave man, and
one that fought his battle with courage.
“HE WAS A VERY COURAGEOUS, STRONG, BRAVE MAN, A FATHER AND
HUSBAND. HE HAS BEEN A STRONG FIGHTER AND HAS FOUGHT FOR SO LONG. I AM SAD THAT
WE LOST HIM PHYSICALLY BUT I AM HAPPY HIS SOUL AND SPIRIT ARE ALIVE IN HEAVEN.
MY DAD WAS A CHRISTIAN AND I BELIEVE HE IS IN HEAVEN.”
She went ahead to remember the times she would calm him down
when his illness showed signs.
“THE LAST THING I WOULD LIVE TO SHARE IS A MEMORY, WHEN I WAS
YOUNGER I DIDN’T KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON, WHEN HIS HAND STARTED SHAKING I TRIED
TO STOP IT, BUT IT DIDN’T STOP. EVERY TIME MY DAD WENT INTO SURGERY, HE WOULD
THINK OF THE CROSS, TO MAKE HIM AT PEACE. THAT GIVES ME COMFORT AND RELEASE
KNOWING GOD IS WITH US AT ALL TIMES.”
The young girl later thanked
all those that were at the event, and especially those that were with Kev
during this journey.
“THANK YOU TO EVERY ONE WHO HAS LOVED
MY DAD AND HAS PRAYED AND SUPPORTED US OVER THE YEARS.DADDY I LOVE YOU.”
