1st Presidential Petition Filed At Supreme Court

Former Kilome MP Harun Mwau has filed a petition at the Supreme Court challenging the validity of the election of Uhuru Kenyatta as President-elect in the October 26 Presidential election.

Mwau has named the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) as the first respondent.

The deadline to file petitions challenging President Kenyatta's win is set to lapse at midnight on Monday.

Civil Society groups are expected to file more petitions later in the day.
