Disturbing Details Emerge On NASA Supporters Killed In Protests

Police are in trouble again as contradicting information emerges on the deaths of 20 people during Raila Odinga’s return rally from the USA.

According to a post mortem done at the city mortuary, 10 out of the 18 people died of gunshot wounds while the remaining eight died of ‘sharp forced trauma’ that included stab wounds.
This new revelation by government pathologist, Johansson Odour, shines the spotlight on the police who had issued a statement a week earlier denying using excessive force while dispersing NASA supporters.

In the earlier statement by police spokesperson, George Kinoti, the police said that no live ammunition was used. “When the people are so unruly, you expect police to react to use reasonable force to get them out of the way…no live ammunition was used,” Kinoti said.
Raila Odinga had requested that the post mortem be done in the presence of The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights, The Independent Police Oversight Authority and Independent Medical Legal Unit. The NASA principle is now asking for action to be taken on individual police officers who will be found culpable.
This disclosure comes barely a month after the police were caught in a similar contradiction after KNHC claimed that 37 people died during the election protests as a result of excessive force. The police denied the allegation.
