Tension As Jubilee Leaders Clash In Public Over Millions

Mombasa Jubilee leaders on Saturday clashed over Sh12 Million that was meant for the repeat presidential election campaigns in the region.

Speaking to Journalist in Mombasa, Jubilee politicians led by former Likoni MP <strong>Mahsoud Mwahima alleged that the money was given to Mombasa Gubernatorial aspirant Suleiman Shahbal and his deputy Annania Mwaboza.

They also indicated that some of the money was given to Karisa Nzai who lost the Jomvu seat adding that each of them got Sh 4Million.

According to the Jubilee politician, Shahbal forcefully took charge of Likoni and Mvita while Nzai took over Jomvu and Changamwe while Likoni and Kisauni went to Mwaboza.

They have now called upon the party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju to oversee the scandal.
They want the party leadership to dispatch investigators to probe how the money was utilized.
Mr Mwahima blamed the scheme for President Kenyatta's low votes during the repeat in that most of the voters lacked fare to the polling stations.

Reacting to these allegations, Shahbal who aspires to be the governor in 2022, noted that the money was never given to him.

He instead noted that a certain government official escaped with the Sh 9Million meant to gear support for the President during the issuance of title deeds on October 8.

"If indeed the money was given to me, it could have been known by now," he stated adding that Nzai was not liable for the money lost.
