Uhuru Directs Matiang’i To Organize Another KCPE Exam

President Uhuru Kenyatta, through State House spokesman Manoah esipisu, has directed Education CS Fred Matiang’i to set special exams for candidates who missed the initial KCPE examinations.

Addressing the press at State House, Esipisu stated that candidates who missed out on the National Examinations for compassionate reasons will be allowed to sit for another KCPE exam.
“Pres. Kenyatta has directed CS Mating’i to set special supplementary exams to students who may be ill, those who have lost their parents or have just given birth,” he said.
The results comes a record 19 days after the exams were completed.

The fast release of the results was credited to the automated Optical Mark Recognition machines that fast-tracked the process.
According to Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, there has been a noticeable improvement in this year's KCPE results as compared to last year's.
Speaking at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development on Tuesday morning, Matiang'i officially released the results revealing what the top student scored.
“Our highest candidate this year scored 455 marks out of 500,” he said.
