Siaya Senator James Orengo has revealed that he and President Uhuru Kenyatta are in fact family relatives through marriage.
Mr Orengo outlined that President Kenyatta's sister was married to his cousin, Dr George Owino who is a dentist in Ugenya constituency.
The National Super Alliance (NASA) leader was responding to a statement made by the Jubilee party linking him to Justice George Odunga of the High Court.
Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju, revealed that Justice Odunga - who has made several rulings involving NASA cases - is married to Senator Orengo’s niece.
The Secretary-General further alleged that another Judge William Ouko is a relative of NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga's wife, Ida Odinga.
Jubilee accused the two judges of conflict of interest in handling the presidential ballot papers case.
In response to the accusations, Mr Orengo cited that his family relation to the President was much closer than the one he shared with the Judge.
"My nearest relative would be Uhuru Kenyatta because his sister was married in Ugenya to a cousin of mine known as Dr George Owino who was a dentist," Orengo declared.
