Chebukati's Response On Declaring Raila President.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has rejected National Super Alliance (NASA) demand to have its flag bearer Raila Odinga declared President-elect.

Speaking during a press briefing, IEBC Chairman <strong>Wafula Chebukati stated that the results NASA claims to have sourced from IEBC servers were incorrect and premature.

Chebukati further stated that the document the Opposition shared with the alleged results was falsified and contained elementary errors.

"The letter that was submitted to us by NASA on their purported results is not supported by forms 34A or 34B," Chebukati stated.

He added: "If a candidate brings results to us, we can not take this results. The IEBC will only declare the result of the Presidential election according to the law. There is only one elections management body in this country."

Earlier on NASA had announced its presidential results which it claimed were from a source at the IEBC.

ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi claimed that they had confidential information showing that Odinga was leading the presidential race.

According to NASA, the actual results in the IEBC servers indicate that Odinga was leading with 8,041,726 with President Uhuru Kenyatta following with 7,755,428.

The Opposition asked the polls body to stop displaying the unofficial results which have been trickling in from the various polling stations.

The NASA leaders further demanded that IEBC should allow political parties to download the forms 34A and 34B so that they can verify the results.

Finally, they have demanded that Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka be immediately declared the President and the Deputy President-elect.
