Big Kev was promoted to glory last week and his family,
friends and fans woke up to the news that he is no more. Kevin Ombajo, his real
name, succumbed to a brain tumor after a long valiant fight.
Currently, Mpasho is transmitting a livestream of his
memorial service from Nairobi Baptist where it is being held. The all white
event has been graced by the who-is-who in the entertainment industry.
Family, friends and Kenyan celebrities have described him as
a spiritual man who stretched his hand to help many make it in the industry.
The True Blaq event organiser worked with a lot of celebrities and has been a
positive influence to many.
Among those that have paid tribute is Kidum, the guy
that Big Kev had requested to go to the hospital to sing for him the song Nipe
Nguvu.
“HIS FAVOURITE SONG WAS NIPE NGUVU,I DON’T KNOW WHY HE
REQUESTED THIS. I DID THIS SONG IN NAIROBI HOSPITAL LIKE SIX TIMES UNTILL I
STARTED CRYING. SO, THIS WAS HIS FAVOURITE.”KIDUM SAID
During the memorial Kidum performed this song and he moved
most people to tears.
