Speaking during a press briefing on Monday, the Amani National Congress (ANC) leader alleged that this is set to happen at 12 pm on Tuesday, August 8.
Mudavadi claimed that this move would help facilitate manual voting and ballot stuffing with the excuse that the BVR kits have failed.
The NASA leader further alleged that on Sunday, August 6 at 11 am, a military aircraft left the Nakuru airbase loaded with six large cartons containing 300 pieces of smoke grenades.
Mudavadi stated that the aircraft was headed for Lamu but first made a stop at Nairobi where it offloaded half of the grenades and ferried the rest to Lamu.
The ANC leader dubbed this as suspicious, adding that the grenades would be used by the military in facilitating rigging as earlier on alleged by NASA leaders.
Mudavadi assured the opposition supporters that they were doing everything to ensure their safety.
