8 Cases,Different Names,One Person: Eyewitness Muigai Ngengi’s Criminal Record History Unearthed [EXPOSED]



A man, who claimed to have witnessed two high profile accidents in Nakuru and Murang’a counties in October and November respectively, Dennis Muigai Ngengi, allegedly committed eight crimes in the past, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) revealed Sunday, November 12.


Ngengi, committed the crimes using different names, a fingerprint forensic analysis performed on him has shown.The DCI crime register shows that Ngengi, who was arrested in Ruiru, Kiambu County last Thursday, has pending criminal cases committed at different places in the country.

Three in the array of cases he is facing is theft, which he allegedly committed in Naru Moru under the false name Charles Karanja; another in Nkubu under the name Francis Karanja Mwaniki and another incident in Kiganjo, where he used the fictitious name Charles Karanja Mwangi alias Cameroon.

Another crime which Ngengi allegedly committed in Kiganjo under the fictitious name Charles Karanja, is giving false information.Ngengi is also on record for being accused of causing malicious damage in Mweiga under the false name Francis Maina Theuri.The serial eye witness also faces assault charges, which he allegedly committed in Meru under the false name Alex Musyoka.
Ngengi, in yet another criminal case, allegedly obtained money by false pretence in Rumuruti under the fictitious name Martin Mutangilu Wambua alias Kathoka.

And finally, Ngengi is also on record for being accused of personating, a crime he allegedly committed in Baricho under the false name Martin Githaiga Gichuhi alias Antony Waweru Gakuya.“Please note results of trial of all the eight criminal records have no results of trial. An immediate signal has been dispatched to the various stations for the results of the mentioned cases,” reads a part of press statement signed by principal criminal registrar Patrick Ndunda.

An investigation has revealed that the current name of the suspect – Dennis Mugai Ngengi – was a newly acquired identity amongst many others.Ngengi was interviewed by Citizen TV on Tuesday, when Nyeri Governor Dr. Wahome Gakuru died in a tragic car crash. The suspect said he was driving right behind Gakuru’s car, when the governor’s driver lost control and veered off the road while trying to avoid hitting a motorcyclist, who was ferrying meat.

Dr. Gakuru’s car had two other occupants besides the governor and his driver. The driver, Gakuru’s personal assistant and security officer survived the crash.In the October 21 copter crash that killed five people, Ngengi introduced himself as a pilot, “who works with the state”.

In November 7, on the day Dr. Gakuru passed on, Ngengi introduced himself as a “police officer”.In an exclusive interview with Citizen Digital later, but still on November 7, Ngengi said he was a “general commodity businessman who imports and exports goods such as motorcycle spare parts, mobile phone accessories and rice among other foodstuff”.

He was arrested last Thursday, with police saying they wanted to know Ngengi’s character as well as his real name.
