NASA head of secretariat Norman Magaya on Monday morning hinted at a major move to be taken by the Opposition following the Supreme Court ruling which upheld the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a tweet, Mr. Magaya noted that in five days NASA will have the full details of the next course of action.
At the same time, Magaya emphasised that the elections held on October 26, 2017, was a sham and that was why their presidential candidate Raila Odinga withdrew.
He added that the opposition was also aware that the rigged election would also be legitimized by the apex court.
“We can see it before it happens. Refused to validate a sham election on 26.10.17 and refused to legitimize the charade through SCOK. We remain masters of our own destiny. In 5 days we will get there,” Magaya said.
ODM Communication Director Phillip Etale advised NASA supporters to remain calm highlighting that the Opposition leaders would give them the way forward.
"NASA supporters across the country are ADVISED to remain calm and not to react any form of PROVOCATION by our opponents. Be calm, still, focused and wait for the way FORWARD from the NASA leadership,” Etale said.
On Monday morning, Chief Justice David Maraga dismissed the two petition filed at the Supreme Court challenging the win of Mr. Kenyatta.
Maraga stated that the petitions lacked merit adding that the full judgment will be delivered at a later date.
