High Court Judge Chacha Mwita Suspends Matiangi’s Order To Switch Off KTN,NTV & Citizen TV Station

High court judge Chacha mwita has directed the government to restore all television stations that had been shut down.

The court has also issued a conservatory order barring the government from interfering with all television transmission by citizen, KTN and NTV.

The orders follow a move by Activist Okiya Omtatah who went to court in the morning to challenge the shutdown of the stations by Jubilee leadership.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i had said while addressing a press conference yesterday that the stations would remain closed until their investigations are complete.

The stations were switched off on Tuesday 30th January 2018 for providing live coverage of Raila Odinga’s swearing in at Uhuru Park.

BREAKING: Uhuru Switches Off Citizen TV and NTV for Covering Raila’s Swearing In Matiangi accused the stations of conspiring with NRM to portray Jubilee in bad picture if a confrontation had ensued between Police and NASA Supporters.
