Chebichii Lelei has survived an assassination attempt according to reports
reaching TUKO.co.ke.
According to information gathered by TUKO.co.ke, Lelei was
involved in a road accident in Eldoret after being hit by a car that had been
trailing her convoy.
She was headed to a political rally in Kesses when the
assassination attempted happened.
Her driver Michael Ogol said that he was forced to drive in
a petrol station after seeing the car was still following them even after the
accident.
At the petrol station the driver approached them and and was
very arrogant according to Leilei's driver.
The 30-year-old candidate decided to vie as an independent
candidate after losing the Jubilee primaries to the former Registrar of the
Judiciary, Gladys Boss Shollei. Gladys was up against
Margaret Kamar, Kurgat
Janet, Lelei Rael and Peris Simam. She emerged the winner with 22, 133 votes.
