One person has been
seriously injured after a swarm of bees attacked police and protestors camping
outside the Supreme Court.
The victim, a physically
challenged beggar, was rushed to hospital by St Johns Ambulance attendants who
quickly rushed to the scene.
Meanwhile, roads near the
Supreme Court were barricaded ahead of the release of the full judgment on the
nullified presidential polls.
Anti-riot police were
positioned on City Hall Way, Taifa Road and part of Wabera Street directing
away motorists and pedestrians.
Nonetheless, supporters of Jubilee and the National Super Alliance (NASA)
tried to cause chaos near the court but were dispersed as police fired teargas
canisters.
