Babu Owino Finally Arrested

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino  was on Monday evening arrested over alleged insults directed at President Uhuru Kenyatta's mother, Mama Ngina.

Owino was taken to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations headquarters along Kiambu road where he is expected to be questioned on the remarks made on Sunday.




The remarks had elicited a public outcry including protests in some areas of Kiambu County as Jubilee supporters demanded action to be taken against the former student leader.
