National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has stated that some individuals started posting results into the IEBC servers a day before the election day.Addressing the media on Thursday, Odinga pointed out that elections began on August 7th contrary to the stipulated election date of August 8th.
The former prime minister indicated that NASA technology experts were able to discover the malpractice from the logs given to them by the electoral body.
"Criminals started posting results in the IEBC servers as early as August 7th, this our experts found from the logs given by IEBC when the body refused to open the servers," he noted.
"This is what we have been saying that nearly 10,000 form 34As were altered in the server using password of IEBC chairman, Wafula Chebukati", he stated
Mr Odinga noted that some key Jubilee Party agents were among the individuals who accessed the server before the polling day.
He was accompanied by NASA principal Musalia Mudavadi.
This statement comes a week after the Supreme Court verdict that nullified President Uhuru Kenyata's re election and ordered for fresh elections within 60 days.
The IEBC has already set October 17th for the Presidential elections.
Meanwhile, trouble is brewing within the IEBC following Chebukati's move to appoint a new team to spearhead the October 17 elections leaving out top officials who played key roles in the August elections.
The Kenya Independent Commissions (KIC) workers union had moved to court to block the new appointments made by IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati.
The Labour Court, however, declined the plea meaning the team will remain in place despite several complaints launched by members of the Jubilee Party.
