The Taita-Taveta Governor Granton Samboja has made history by being the first NASA-elected Governor to defect to Jubilee.

Samboja announce his defection minutes after NASA leader Raila Odinga officially withdrew from the repeat presidential elections scheduled for October 26 2017.

He is the first high-ranking elected official to defect from the opposition.
Samboja’s unexpected move comes 2 days after fierce rival Former Taita Taveta Governor John Mruttu left NASA for Jubilee.
