Africans benefit in honor of Wangari Maathai After Vibo Africa's New Initiative

Vibo Africa has moved to shake up the continent with a new Pan-African initiative aiming to shine a light on Africa’s unsung heroes as well as bestow glistening rewards to the most outstanding people in the hospitality market.

It’s an earth-shattering move that has never been witnessed before in Africa, as the continent rises up to the spotlight and amass incredible recognition and remuneration as Vibo Africa continues to dominate the continent and set towering standards.

The “We The Peoples Humanity Awards” will encompass the entirety of Africa, enveloping massive sectors across Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Gambia and more.

Without necessarily relying on institutional nominations, this novel idea will allow hundreds thousands of grassroots groups to nominate themselves, breaking from tradition and bringing spectacularly brilliant results across multiple nations.

The million-dollar initiative, a brainchild of Vibo Africa, has already found immense support and backing from over 38,000 individuals with more seeking to join, engage, be part of and also participate in overwhelming numbers.

From Congo to Cameroon, Malawi to Mozambique, Vibo Africa has made incredible strides in reaching the masses, transforming lives, uplifting societies and bestowing a sense of dignity and honor amongst hundreds of thousands of disenfranchised Africans.

The ‘We The Peoples Humanity Awards’ will also seek to recognize individuals and organizations that educate, advocate, and work to eliminate discriminatory barriers while promoting dignity and equal opportunity for all.

This far-reaching idea will also explode in extensive impact across Africa, putting thousands of humanitarians on the map, lifting Kenya’s flag high and scoring the roaring support of the international community, from Europe to The United States of America.

“These awards will focus on the rapid deployment of time-bound, life-saving assistance in response to crises around Africa, honouring individuals who have made a lasting difference through compassion, service and leadership…” Vibo Africa said in a statement.

It will also span sectors and touch food, nutrition, health, shelter, and water and sanitation needs in countries with significant levels of humanitarian needs such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Guinea, Nigeria, and Sudan.

The ‘We The Peoples Humanity’ Awards are the latest sign of how Vibo Africa is evolving its approach to humanitarian aid: by also dishing out large grants to a wide list of hand-picked organizations.

It’s an unprecedented initiative which follows closely in the footsteps of some of Africa’s most notable humanitarian icons including Leymah Gbowee from Liberia, Dr. Denis Mukwege from the DRC, Kenya’s Wangari Maathai, South Africa’s Dr. Imtiaz Sooliman and Graça Machel from Mozambique.

Established in honour of Dr. David Zawde (Ethiopia), the visionary founder of Africa Humanitarian Action, the prize recognises impactful solutions that advance environmental sustainability, social development, and humanitarian progress across African communities.

“Humanitarian crises on the continent frequently stem from conflict, climate-related shocks, and economic displacement. In regions like East and Southern Africa, coordinated localized interventions—such as setting up temporary camps and providing emergency food and dignity kits—are critical for survival, and we are happy to steer this movement in that direction,” Vibo Africa stated.

“It’s an award specially designed to reward innovative solutions that address some of the world’s most pressing challenges, particularly in sustainability and human welfare.”

Overall winners will receive direct, in-person introductions to Vibo Africa’s network of international donors, alongside dedicated social media amplification to boost their visibility across the continent.

All Nominees will benefit from featured mentions within relevant specialized groups on the Vibo Africa platform, connecting them with global peers, partners, and supporters, alongside ongoing access to the grants library

Tajiri mashuhuri kutoka Nairobi kwa jina joe Kariuki avamia mji wa mombasa

After stirring up real trouble in Nairobi, leaving behind a trail of controversies and conspiracies, Nairobi Business magnate Joe Kariuki has now pitched camp at the Coastal City of Mombasa where, our sources have learned, he seems to have kicked off his usual shadowy activities yet again.

According to our sources, Joe Kariuki, the founder and proprietor of leading Cryptocurrency company 51 Capital, has now opened yet another outlet in the Bamburi area of Mombasa and has been on a recruitment overdrive that has seen him net hundreds of young girls and women from the areas into his controversial company.

Photos reaching our desk seem to show Coastal girls flocking into Joe Kariuki’s Mombasa offices and, we have learned, some of these young women have been bringing along older, white men to, ostensibly, start cryptocurrency accounts for them at 51 Capital.

Joe Kariuki’s suspicious activities trended a few weeks ago after he was called out for running a seemingly secretive network called ‘Powered Up’ in which he was said to be recruiting wealthy individuals into a form of a secret cult from where they would be instantly turned into millionaires after investing in his Pessacoin platform.

Unbowed by all the negative attention and backlash he received from the media, the controversial businessman seems to have now moved his activities to Mombasa and, it seems, he has already found a following overnight.

We tried to reach some of the girls seen trooping into his swanky offices and while a few were reluctant to talk, at least two offered to open up but on condition of anonymity.

“Mimi nimemjulia Joe Kariuki kwa mtandao. Nimemjulia online. Nimemskia na vituko zake na wakati ilipotangazwa kuwa anafungua ofisi Mombasa nikawa interested kutembea na kujua kile anachokifanya huku. Ndipo nikam-meet na kugundua kuwa ni mtu mzuri tu mwekezaji lakini watu wengi wana taswishi naye. Ila mimi sina shida naye kwa sababu nimeona uwezo wake na yale mambo ambayo anafanya yanasaidia vijana sana. Sisi warembo wa Pwani tumechoka kutumiwa vibaya ndiposa tuko nyuma ya Joe Kariuki kwa sababu inaonekana anatujali na pia tunapata pesa ipasavyo, “ Aisha Mohammed* (not her real name) said to us.

Sources indicated to us that Joe Kariuki has been swindling wealthy white tourists using the Coastal girls and making millions out of them but the City businessman declined to address the matter in a phone call only referring us to his juniors.

“All those are lies. Joe Kariuki is not using Coastal girls to lure rich, white men to invest in his company and make millions out of them. That’s total bullshit. The girls can speak for themselves. Nothing like that is happening and even if it is, everyone is an adult here and, like they say in Las Vegas, what happens in Mombasa stays in Mombasa, “ Winnie Oketch, Joe Kariuki’s office spokeswoman, said

Well, it seems like there is really no end to the Joe Kariuki drama and now that he has moved to Mombasa, the Coastal Governor Hassan Joho better watch out for interesting times ahead.

Boy Child President Twitter Account Suspended Shortly After Leaking Nude Pictures Of Radio Africa Managing Director Martin Khafafa.

Why blogger Cyprian Nyakundi's Twitter account has been suspendedWhy blogger Cyprian Nyakundi's Twitter account has been suspended

Controversial blogger Cyprian Nyakundi seemed to have touched a naked electric wire after a tweet he posted on his highly followed Twitter handle, leading to its suspension.

On Monday afternoon, Nyakundi tweeted an embarrassing photo of a top boss at a popular media company, who was in a rather compromising situation with two women.
The tweet elicited a furore on social media and later on in the night Nyakundi added more fuel to the fire by posting more photos of the man.

However, this did not go well for the blogger who describes himself as the Boy child President as his account was suspended by Twitter.
Nyakundi is on record unleashing exposés that have rattled high ranking Government officials and businessmen in the country.
He has been arrested and taken to court by several leaders including Interior and Coordination Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i.
Though his strategy of bringing to light corruption cases and moral decay among leaders has been questioned, Nyakundi is hailed by a section of his followers for being bold enough to do the unthinkable.

Cuban doctors on their own in Mandera after local medics flee

Mandera County borders Somalia where Al Shabaab operate from.

Two Cuban doctors working in Mandera County have been forced to work on their own after their counterparts fled the area for fear of terror attacks.

The two; Dr. Herera Correa, a general practitioner and Dr. Landy Rodriguez, a surgeon; are however determined to stay put.

Dr. Correa sees 20 patients per day during his eight-hour shift while Dr. Rodriguez handles about 10 surgical procedures daily; they are on call 24 hours a day.

Local medics recently left in droves due to the threat posed by Al-Shabaab.

“Before I came here, I checked the internet and saw that Mandera is very dangerous with frequent attacks from Al Shabaab but we have worked in far worse conditions,”said Dr. Rodriguez.

The two Cuban doctors say they have already started learning Kiswahili and Somali since language barrier is their greatest challenge.

Coincidentally, one of the local doctors who decided to remain with them was trained in Cuba.

He speaks fluent Spanish and is the one who acts as a translator for the Cuban doctors.

Khaligraph: I seduced Njeri long ago and she turned me down, I met her recently and she begged me to sleep with her

Khaligraph Jones has taken a swipe at materialistic women whom turned him down when he was still broke. The rapper specifically called out a lady called Nyeri from Dandora.

For starters, Khaligraph was raised in Kayole. He used to be broke and ashy like most typical Eastlands hustlers before he made it in music.

Khaligraph had a tough time with ladies while growing in Kayole, he talks about his experience in a new freestyle posted on social media.

Khaligraph reveals that he recently met Njeri and that she begged him to smash her. OG however refused to smash her, he told her that he doesn’t sleep around with broke women.

“I remember these girls nilikatia kitambo, si walinionyesha mambo. Nakumbuka Njeri, tulikutana Dando, jana alinikol…and she was like Khaligraph, unaezanipiga miti, unaezanipiga mbao. I was like hell no! Uliacha madharao? Now you want me to f** you sababu me ni baba yao? I’m like nope, my d** too precious. Am not f**king with you unless uko na pesa. But nkikucheki zangu ndo unanyemelea,” rapped Khaligraph.
