Nigeria-based Kenyan vlogger Lisa Gaitho has advised women to do everything they can to get what they want from men – be it financial or material resource.

Of course, the advice has drawn sharp criticism from online users, who are pro-women empowerment.

Ms Gaitho says despite having her own money, she still relies on men to finance her lifestyle.

“Yes, I am independent; I have my money; I work; I get a salary. But, can I afford my lifestyle? No. Let us just be honest. Can I afford to fly up and down, and visit all the amazing places? No. Can I afford to buy certain things? No. I can’t afford my lifestyle; I am not going to lie. But, does that mean that I am not going to have a good lifestyle simply because I want to show people that I can do it on my own? No,” she said in her latest vlog titled: ‘How to get what you want from your man’.

“Eventually, I’d want to be able to take my family on a vacation and be able to pay for it by myself, but I am not yet there. So, saying that I shouldn’t rely on a man to do certain things… I won’t lie; I am going to rely on a man to take me to nice places. So, if it is one, two or three things that I must do to make him happy and make him feel that he needs to reciprocate, guess what… I would do that which he wants me to do, and I would do it very, very well,” said Ms Gaitho.

“For example, if he wants to take his bath, go and wash him, literally; scrub him, do not let him do anything by himself. Wash him, clean his ears… clean his… [Do it] like you would to a baby. Dry him, apply body lotion on him, dress him…,” said the vlogger.

“Tell me if you won’t go out with that man that day and he won’t get you something, or he won’t put some money in your account… or he won’t think of you on a random day and buy you a bag or new shoes…,” said Ms Gaitho.

Other money-generation tips for women to embrace, according to Ms Gaitho, include: cooking and feeding men, praising and respecting them.

Ms Gaitho’s advice rubbed a section of online users the wrong way.

Qristin101 said: “In summary, be a duster and get paid? Ladies work for your own so that you won’t have to wash men to live a good life.”

King Laina said: “You [Ms Gaitho] must be so comfortable with your man to do this video. I’m just concerned.”

Just Rose said: “You always have a point to prove with this Nigerian man. Spend less time vlogging about this facade and more time visiting a psychiatrist. Your deeply rooted issues are showing Gaitho.”

Sammy Kikwai said: “This is why I want to provide for my daughter. If my daughter made such a video, then I would have failed my job as a parent.”

Beth Adhiambo said: “And who is going to speak your language when you are busy speaking his? And when you get your own children, who do you wash first? Nothing here makes sense.”

NTV forced to makes drastic changes after Citizen TV unveiled its New Nipashe Team

Nation Media Group (NMG) Owned TV station NTV countered Royal media services minutes after it unveiled its new Nipashe Team that has been tasked to run the Swahili news desk at Citizen TV.

Minutes after Citizen took to its social media platform to share a promo consisting of most celebrated Swahili News anchors in the country for Citizen Nipashe, NTV was forced to make drastic changes to counter the promo with one of their own.

Earlier, reports indicated that NTV was supposed to unveil its NTV Jioni Team on Monday after World Cup finals.

However, that changed immediately Citizen TV’s promo for “Nipashe" went viral. Citizen unveiled the new star studded Swahili desk team in a promo running on their platforms.

The team comprises of experienced Swahili journalists who were poached from NTV and KTN.

They include Nimrod Taabu, Mashirima Kapombe, Jamila Mohamed, Swaleh Mdoe, Mwanahamisi Hamadi, Rashid Abdla and Lulu Hassan. The new show begins airing on Thursday night.

Rashid Abdalla replaced Kanze Dena on Citizen Nipashe and co-host with the wife Lulu Hassan.

The power couple will bring a new lease of life in the new segment 'Citizen Nipashe' after Kanze joined State House as the deputy spokesperson and deputy head of PSCU team.

On the other hand NTV introduced a number of new faces and other experienced journalists poached from Citizen, KBC and Ebru TV.

Diamond Platnumz wants his baby mamas to hug it out and make peace.

The bongo musician has declared that he loves and respects the mothers of his children and has called for them to not create conflict between his children.

He said that he loves his children equally and would love to see them have play dates and even attend each other’s birthday parties.

“Nawaomba wajitahidi sana, wasitengeneze chuki baina ya watoto wa huku na watoto wa huku kwa sababu at the end of the day we are family. Most guarded preacher? Photos of Prophet Owuor’s bodyguards in action

Prophet Dr Edward David Owuor is one of the most popular preachers of the modern era in Kenya.

Owuor is an evangelist whose meteoric rise cannot be missed having emerged at the opportune time the digital space was on the rise, FM stations were expanding the airwaves and Televangelism was at its peak.

Apart from forming a church, tailoring his repentance message and rewriting fashion for his members that only rivals that of the Akorinos, Owuor’s bodyguards come second to none.

Nairobi residents got a first-hand look when he held a crusade at Uhuru Park over the weekend. He was surrounded by armed policemen spotting bullet proof vests and Ak47s.

That’s not all, another group in suits also man Owuor, strutting along his top-of-the-range cars whenever his entourage is on the move.

Accessing him on the dais is a mountain on itself. The men in suits form a tight ring around the dais keeping a close eye on the thousands who make it to his crusades.

So who is Owuor?

He was born in 1966 in Yimbo, Siaya County.

Owuor earned his first degree from Makerere University, his second at University of Nairobi, and his Master’s degree in Genetics at Ben Gurion, Israel.

He then proceeded for his PhD in Molecular Genetics at University of Haifa and was immediately offered appointment by two leading institutions in Medicine in the US.

Kisumu Man Found Dead In Bar

Police in Kisumu are investigating  circumstances  surrounding the death of  a middle aged man whose  body was  found in a bar Saturday morning.

The man's  body was  found  on the floor of a bar  in Manyatta  estate  where he had been drinking for long hours before his death.

Witnesses at the scene claimed that the man had been drinking overnight and suspect that he may have died  due  to excessive consumption of over alcoholic  spirit whose  bottle was  found on the table where  he sat form  more than eight  hours.

“We suspect that he died in the morning after over drinking the spirit," said Elvis Oketch a witness.

Oketch said overnight the man was seen seated in isolation ordering lots of the spirit.

Other witness claimed that he appeared  to have been stressed as he continued  to consume the drink.

It was  not  clear why the bar employees  allowed  him to drink until morning and never raised  an alarm even when he fell on the floor  from where his  body was  discovered  in the morning.

"He  appeared  to have been still alive at around  7am. He was groaning as he  lay on the floor  and people  thought  he had  blacked  out, only to find that he was already dead," said  another witness.

Kisumu Central OCPD, Mr Mutune Maweu could not be reached for  comment but a senior officer  coordinating the investigations  said  they were  following some leads  and would also record  statements  from workers  at the bar.

Perhaps determined not to go down easy, she used all her strength and skill to outwit the comedian and at one time could be seen digging her legs deep into the edge of reception table to stop Jalang'o.

Diamond Platnumz: I Love All My Kids Equally

Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz  has come out to bash social media users for always trying to create a non-existent battle between his child with Hamisa Mobetto and those with Zari Hassan.

Taking to Instagram, the Iyena hitmaker said he loves all his children equally and would never choose between them.

He also trashed any rumors of him not being the actual father to Mobetto’s baby, Dylan.

“This is my Kid…and he will forever be my Kid, tena My Beloved Kid,” posted the Wasafi boss.

He further revealed that the only reason the boy he fathered with Mobetto  – Dylan – was not featured in the promo to his new reality show set to air on Wasafi TV was because his official videographer did not have any videos of him and Dylan at the time.

Drama as Diamond’s father and Ommy Dimpoz’s father savagely tear into each other

Diamond’s father Abdul Juma and Ommy Dimpoz’s father Faraji Nyembo have openly castigated each a year after their sons started beefing.

Last year Diamond and Ommy Dimpoz took shots at each other. Dimpoz even wrote an open letter to Diamond’s mom insinuating that he had a thing with her.

Ommy Dimpoz’s father has now clashed with Diamond’s father after he called him out for openly criticizing his son (Diamond) on the media claiming that he does not help him.

“Unajua mimi ni mzazi wa tofauti sana, siwezi kumlalamikia au kumsemea mabaya mwanangu kwenye vyombo vya habari kama anavyofanya baba Diamond, ninachofanya huwa namuombea mwanangu awe na maisha mazuri maana nikimuombea mabaya anaweza kupoteza dira ya maisha yake nitakuwa nimefaidika na nini. Nilimuona baba Diamond akizungumza kwenye kipindi kimoja cha runinga akimlaumu mwanaye huyo na kumlalamikia kwamba hamsaidii nikamshangaa sana kwa kweli maana siyo tabia nzuri,” Ommy Dimpoz’s father said during an interview with Risasi Mchanganyiko.

Dimpoz’s father called on Diamond’s father to emulate him, saying that he would never criticize his son on media the way he was doing to Diamond.




“Namshauri baba Diamond awe anamuombea mwanaye mafanikio, aungane naye wawe kitu kimoja, afurahie mafanikio yake ipo siku Mungu atamrudisha kwake amsaidie na siyo kumzungumzia maneno ya kumlaani na kumlalamikia kila siku.

Risasi Mchanganyiko also reached out to Diamond father for comment about what Ommy Dimpoz’s father said. Mzee Abdul was totally offended by the comment, he said Dimpoz’s father shouldn’t poke his nose into what doesn’t concern him.

“Sitaki shobo, huyo baba Dimpoz simfahamu kama hana la kuongea anyamaze, amzungumzie mwanaye hata kama niliongea kuhusu Diamond si mtoto wangu yeye inamuhusu nini? Kuhusu huyo Diamond sihitaji kuzungumza chochote kuhusu yeye wala watoto wangu maana hawana faida yoyote kwangu kwa sasa,” Diamond’s father said.

‘Apologize? Me?’ Jalang’o Calls Out Size 8 Saying He Is Not Apologetic For His Comment On Gospel Artistes

Jalang’o is one honest guy, not afraid of anything and anyone.

A few weeks ago, he posted a video on social media basically calling out gospel artistes. The songs these gospel artistes are releasing according to Jalang’o do not qualify as gospel.

In the video, aliongea matope! He even mentions the artistes in question including Timeless and Kennon.

Basically, Jalang’o’s message was on content. There is lack of gospel content this year.

“WE NEED TO BRING BACK THE CONTENT THAT IS GOSPEL MUSIC. THERE IS NOBODY WHO CAN TELL YOU IN THIS HALL MORE THAT JALAS MWENYEWE BECAUSE THERE IS NOWHERE YOU WILL TAKE ME!” 

Of course, this video Jalang’o put up was going to be the topic of discussion among gospel artiste because he grouped all of them in one. The good and the bad.

Size 8, who is a reformed secular artiste had an interview with and gave her two cents on what Jalang’o had to say.

“Are they asking for your apology?” Jeff asked to which Jalas replied with “Apology? Me?” before laughing hysterically indicating that he will not apologise.

As you would expect, she was not happy.

“JALANG’O SHOULD NOT JUDGE PEOPLE WITH A FEW SONGS BECAUSE OURS IS THE BIGGEST MUSIC INDUSTRY, AND I BELIEVE EVERY SONG HAS A MESSAGE. EVERYONE SINGS DIFFERENTLY, THUS IT WOULD BE WRONG TO JUDGE THEM WITH THEIR CONTENT…I THINK THE PROBLEM IS THE UNDERSTANDING BY PEOPLE AND NOT THE SONG OR PERHAPS THE DELIVERY. BUT FROM SOMEONE WHO READS THE WORD, THEY WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT EVERY ARTISTE MEANS WITH THEIR SONG,” 

Size 8 even referenced the renowned gospel artiste, Daddy Owen’s new song that has a not so gospel title but according to Size 8, the content is all gospel.

“LIKE THE NEW DADDY OWEN SONG, DONJO, IS JUST A WAY OF SAYING HE IS ENJOYING LIFE IN CHRIST. KULA NENO IS THE WORD OF GOD, MEANING READ THE WORD OF GOD. I THINK THE PROBLEM IS THE UNDERSTANDING BY PEOPLE AND NOT THE SONG OR PERHAPS THE DELIVERY. BUT FROM SOMEONE WHO READS THE WORD, THEY WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT EVERY ARTISTE MEANS WITH THEIR SONG.”

Just when we thought the back and forth was over, Jalang’o had a response to Size 8. In his morning show on radio, he responded to Size 8 making it clear he will not apologize for his comments.

He started saying he is under siege as a lot of people were against what he said but that does not stop him from standing his ground.

“I’M UNDER FIRE, THEY ARE UP IN ARMS.”

Size 8 always references the Bible in all her statements. In Mathew 7:1-4 it says  “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

 “SIZE 8 HAS COME OUT SAYING I SHOULDN’T JUDGE PEOPLE, I SHOULD FAST, AND I DON’T KNOW DO WHAT. SHE TALKED AND TALKED. AND YOU KNOW SIZE 8 IS A VERY GOOD FRIEND OF MINE, VERY GOOD FRIEND. I DON’T KNOW WHY SHE HERSELF WOULD COME OUT STRONGLY TO CONDEMN ME.”

I think Jalang’o should brace himself for a lot of backlash from gospel artistes. His statement got under their skin.

Tanzanian Legendary Singer Ali Saleh Kiba aka Alikiba has finally revealed the cause of his beef with Diamond Platnumz.

The RockStar CEO disclosed that his fall out with Diamond was caused by disrespect that the singer showed while they were working together.

In an interview with a local Radio Station in Tanzania, Ali stated that the moment he found out that Diamond was disrespecting him, he decided to remove him from his circle of friends.
