It seems former newscaster Janet Mbugua missed being on air
so much that she decided to come back.
The mother of one, who was anchoring news with Hussein
Mohammed, revealed that she was leaving the station to pursue other interests
on Monday, April 10.
She extended her gratitude to Royal Media Services (RMS)
Chairman S.K Macharia, Farida Karoney, Wachira Waruru and her colleagues for
the help that they accorded her.
We later learnt that Janet was heading to the Kenya Red
Cross Society (KRCS) where she had received a job offer as the head of
communication and advocacy.
Other sources, however, said that Janet had resigned from
her job to focus on raising her son Ethan Huru Ndichu.
Since then, little has been heard about her until a few
hours ago when Janet let it slip that she will be returning to our television
screens, but not on Citizen TV.
She has joined the ‘Mums Village’ show as a host and if her
post on Instagram is anything to go by, then she is very excited to be back on
TV.
The first episode of the show, which is filmed at Whatsgood
Studios, streamed live across the show’s social media platforms on May 13th.
It featured the likes of Capital FM presenter Amina Abdi,
Janet Mbugua – who were guests while a lass identified as Julie and Mums
Village CEO Isis Nyong’o were the hosts.
This time around Janet will be coming back as a co-host and
some sources say that it will air on one of the local television stations.
