Yet again, NTV journalist Larry Madowo has found himself
between a rock and a hard place following his viral interview with NASA
technical adviser David Ndii on Tuesday, August 22.
Larry hosted Ndii to discuss his petition on secession and the
way forward for NASA should they lose the petition they have filed in the
Supreme Court. Apparently, Larry’s combative and hard hitting approach to his
interviewees did not go down well with NASA supporters.
Among those who have spared their time to address the issue
is Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo.
Through her social media, Millie has sarcastically bashed
Larry’s performance during the interview, saying someone more skilled and
informed to match Ndii should have been picked.
“The two were in one space but discussing two different
issues. Madowo was discussing whether the porridge was sweet or sour and all
his questions were about sweet or sour porridge. David Ndii was talking about
the chemical composition of water, sugar and flour. Madowo should have been given
someone with expertise on whether porridge is sweet or sour and Ndii should be
interviewed by someone with a degree in Chemistry and/or Biology. Get my
drift?” Millie sarcastically suggested.
She urged NASA supporters to spare Larry because he was allegedly
being directed on the questions he was supposed to ask Ndii.
Millie then went ahead to say she would choose Ndii over
Larry for a boyfriend if she were to do so because Ndii got substance than
Larry.
“If I was a young lady asked to choose one of those two guys
for a date, I would go for Ndii. It’s not because Larry is not good-looking and
all, it’s just in my younger days, top on my list for a guy I dated was ”
intellectualism”. Second on my list was a guy who could take the bull by the
horns,” she added.
Larry has lately faced immense resistance from a section of
NASA and Jubilee supporters and even politicians who believe his journalism is
questionable.
However, he has kept his head high, sticking to his style
despite its irritability to sections of society.
