Monster House Help Who Shocked World With Brutality Released From Jail.

The Ugandan house help who was jailed for four years for assaulting a toddler in 2014 has been released after completing her sentence.

Jolly Tumuhiirwe was sentenced to four years after she was filmed beating, kicking and stamping on a 18-month old child in a case that attracted international attention after the video went viral on social media.

Her employer had installed hidden cameras to monitor her behaviour.

Now 25, Joy was released on Friday from the Luzira Prison after serving three years at the facility.







At the time, Joy told a Kampala court that the attack was revenge after she was beaten by the child's mother.
Her employer denied the accusations.
While issuing the sentence, Chief magistrate Lillian Buchan explained that Joy committed an unjustifiable and inexcusable crime.
She said the sentence was appropriate in light of the ruthlessness exhibited on an innocent, helpless chil
