National Super Alliance
(NASA) leaders on Tuesday insinuated that the Jubilee government was
behind the murder of the late IEBC ICT Manager Chris Msando.
The NASA leaders, while
speaking in Kisii County, linked the manager's murder to a plot to rig next week's
election.
Senators Moses Wetangula(Bungoma)
and James Orengo (Siaya) are reported to have cautioned that senior State
officials were dying under the Government's watch and noted that this would end
after NASA forms the next government.
"They will kill the few
individuals but they will not kill all Kenyans. We are ready and confident that
they will be sent home," Standard quoted Wetangula.
NASA presidential candidate Raila
Odinga on his part failed to directly link the Government to Msando's murder
but noted that the security situation in the country was wanting.
Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo
Musyoka reiterated Senator Wetangula's claims stating that the ICT manager's
murder was aimed at creating an avenue for the rigging of the General Election.
The NASA deputy flag bearer further
noted that the Jubilee Party was sponsoring fake opinion polls to justify their
rigging plans.
"Over 70 per cent of
Kenyans support NASA taking over power from Jubilee next week, Jubilee leaders
are afraid of this and that is why you are seeing all these strange activities
just a few days to the elections," he stated.
This is the first time the
Opposition leaders have linked the Government to the murder of Mr Msando.
The late IEBC manager was
murdered and his body dumped at Muguga Forest in Kikuyu, Kiambu County.
Police have launched
investigations into the murder
