The World Health Organisation
(WHO) has given new orders to patients testing for HIV with the new kit.
According to the organization patients are advised not to take
any fluids 30 minutes before the test since it has been proven that this might
affect the results.
Fluids such as mouthwash have been discovered to tamper with the
results and nervous people are asked not to take these results until they are
completely calm.
This affects the Ora-quick test which involves using of fluids to detect any
foreign bodies and is accurate to identify virus type 1 (HIV-1) and virus type
2 (HIV-2).
