The Kenyatta University fraternity is in mourning after one
of their own died in mysterious circumstances. The institution's student
leader, Were Were, took to social media on Friday, September 15, with the
tragic news, announcing the unexpected death of Stella Karanja. "Its saddening
and chilling that one of our comrades, Stella Karanja a 5th year medical
student was found dead after she took her own life within the Kenyatta
University compound (SQ) yesterday evening, Thursday, September 14,
"She listed those whom she wished to carry her body for
burial and in the short list- is her ex-boyfriend and classmates. In her
traumatic diary that she painstakingly kept since 2014, she painfully narrates
how she has contemplated taking away her life for 3 weeks," added Were.
He also revealed that Karanja used a rope on herself after
contemplating beside carbon monoxide poisoning and detergent.
"I wish she opened up and shared her distressing
troubles with friends. May her soul Rest In Peace. Friends , let's always seek
guidance and counselling when faced with heavy life storms, life is
sacred!" concluded Were.
