Babu Owino born Paul Ongili is a connected man, from
political connections to entertainment ones. He has been spotted with
local showbiz bigwigs the likes of Shaffie Weru, local singers, Kenya’s Mr.
Moneybags Jimmy Wanjigi, among others.
The newly elected Embakasi East MP has won the hearts of
many and he is popularly referred to as ‘Tibim Master’. Babu, who is also
a Raila Odinga diehard supporter, was a student leader at the University of
Nairobi for quite a while before venturing into national politics.
As they say, behind every successful man there’s a
supportive woman and Babu Owino is no exception. He is married to a
beautiful woman, Fridah Muthoni Ongili. The two are blessed with an adorable
daughter. She is three years old.
