One of Kenya’s top electoral commissioners has resigned
barely 7 days to the fresh Presidential elections.
Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commissioners, Roselyne
Akombe has resigned from the electoral body reducing the number of
commissioners to six.
Unconfirmed reports also reveal that she has fled to United
States.
Akombe stated that she won’t be part of the mockery.
Media reports indicate she had gone to Dubai to supervise
the printing of ballot papers but then diverted her flight to Newyork where she
announced her resignation from.
It is yet unclear how her resignation will affect the fresh
elections scheduled for October 26.
