Sources told Sky News that the beleaguered first lady, who
is believed to be behind the onslaught launched by Mugabe on party members seen
as blocking her succession game plan, had left for Namibia.
She was born in 1965 in South Africa in 1965 and got married
to Mugabe in 1996. They have two sons and a daughter.
Grace is known for her extravagant lifestyle besides her
bullish side being manifest on several occasions.
Power struggles with the ruling ZANU-PF party split it in
the middle and those seen as to be opposed to her ideals have faced the sack.
Just recently, vice president Emmerson Mnangagwa was shown
the door after differing with Grace.
Many party members have face the same fate in the past after
they seemed to challenge her in succeeding her husband for the top seat.
TUKO.co.ke earlier reported that the party had installed
Mnangagwa as its new party leader and interim president following a bloodless
‘coup’ by the military.
The military has denied it carried out a coup explaining
that it was hunting for corrupt leaders hanging around Mugabe.
It assured of Mugabe’s security with South Africa president
Jacob Zuma telling the world in a televised address that the Zimbabwean leader
had been detained.
