Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino courted
trouble once again on Sunday, November 5, when he led opposition supporters in
insulting President Uhuru Kenyatta at a Kibra rally. According to a video seen
by The evening Post, in so
many words, Babu said that he can now confirm that President Uhuru is the son
of a dog (son of a b*tch). "Kibra resist.
Kenyans resist. Kenyans power, riaaaa, tialala, tibim.
Kenyan, the first thing is that we know the son of a dog. Do you now agree he
is the son of a dog or not? (To which the charged crowd responded that he is),
"The second thing is that it is our duty as Kenyan
citizens to resist the Jubilee manifesto of promoting poverty, negative
ethnicity and corruption in Kenya. People are very poor in this country.
One would want to strangle himself but he wouldn't even
afford to buy the rope with which they can do this," said Owino. He went
on to remind the supporters of which companies the opposition National Super
Alliance called on them to boycott for being sympathetic to the Jubilee
government.
"Kenyans tibim. If you cannot resist Njeri and the
potatoes, just make sure you open the servers but don't close them. It will be
of service to you on another day," concluded Owino on the side of humour.
According to prior The
evening Post reports, Babu was dramatically arrested by 10 officers
from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations on Monday, September 26, after
he initially used these insults on the President. He was charged with uttering
sentiments that demeaned the presidency and were in breach of peace.
He was later released and he emerged with claims that he was
forced to apologise to President Uhuru while facing Mount Kenya.
