Residents of Kwale were on Monday,January 22,2018 treated to
free drama after witchcraft paraphernalia held as exhibit disappeared mysteriously
from the Kwale Police Station.
The Evening Post has
learnt that the scary incident occurred as police officers prepared to escort a
witch-doctor who had been nabbed with a number of weird stuff to court.
The witch-doctor,identified as Omar Mboni was arrested on
Sunday,January 21 ,evening and was to appear in court on Monday to answer to
extortion charges.
According to Matuga sub-county deputy commisioner Benson
Maisori,Mboni was in pocession of a human skull and a tortoise shell when he
was arrested in Mkomba village.
However,the paraphernalia,including the human skull went
missing prior to his court hearing,leaving quite a number of people in awe.
‘The angry residents wanted to lynch the suspected witch
before the police came to his rescue’’He said. Mboni is currently under police
custody awaiting to be arraigned in court once investigations are complete.
