Embattled National Resistance Movement leader Miguna Miguna on Thursday sent a daring message to Interior and National Government Coordination Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i to arrest him, as he is the one who administered the controversial oath to Raila Odinga on Tuesday at Uhuru Park.
Speaking to the press earlier, the once anti-Raila crusader told the CS to, in fact, arrest him alongside Mr Odinga, as “he is the one who signed the oath and conducted it.”
“I’m the one who signed the oath and conducted it. If they want to look for the person who is responsible it is me and Odinga. Let them come for us!” he yelled.
On Tuesday, through his law firm, Miguna Miguna & Company Advocates, the abrasive Canada-educated lawyer commissioned the oath that was administered on Mr Odinga.
Dr Miguna’s vessel on Friday sunk after he raised the alarm on a police raid at his home. He said police stormed his home early morning and ransacked it.
“The police have bombed their way into my house. I can't speak on the phone right now. They have ransacked the house!!” he said.
He added: “Some are still hiding in the compound and my house hoping that I make a move so that they can shoot me and claim that there was a ‘shootout!’ I’m staying put!”
His arrest comes a day after the arrest Ruaraka Member of Parliament Tom Joseph Kajwang who was charged with participating in an illegal assembly and administering an illegal oath. It is still not clear if he will be arraigned in court today.
