The ODM party has suffered a major setback after it lost two county assembly seats in its key stronghold of Kilifi County.
Senior Resident Magistrate Corrilius Nyawiri nullified the election Shella ward MCA Kadenge Mwathethe as well as that of Ganda MCA Abdulrahman Omar.
The nullification was done after two successive election petitions that were based on massive irregularities in the August 8 General Election.
Prior to the nullification, the orange party enjoyed complete dominance in Kilifi County having scooped all the elective seats in the county.
Omar's election was challenged by Mr Joseph Kiponda of Jubilee Party, while Mwathethe's win was contested by Abdulkarim Twahir who vied on a Wiper ticket.
Omar and Mwathethe will now pay Sh2 million each as costs for the petitions.
