A British 26-year-old woman who made news before for leaving her Maasai husband, Rempesa ole Kirkoya, for his son, Lawrence, has made news again.
Rebekah O'Brien, a London-based gym instructor left Lawrence, a 19-year-old boy.
According to O'Brien, she opted to leave the relationship so that she could raise their son in a “happy and secure” environment.
O'Brien explained that at times she made the mistake of mothering Lawrence after having gotten used to being his step-mother while she was married to his father.
In May 2016, O'Brien and Lawrence had to fight to stay together but his family would have none of it.
O'Brien had been married to his father and had conceived a child with him as a second wife. Their daughter, however, passed away after a few weeks.
She narrated to the newspaper how Rempesa’s wife had called her in the UK, encouraging her to come to Kenya to join their family.
