Eastlands bound ladies were on Friday treated to free rides by a variety of public services vehicles plying the route.
In this day-long deal between minibuses belonging to Umoinner and Royal Swift Saccos and a popular sanitary towel company, ladies were ferried to and from the CBD to several estates including Umoja, Donhom, Pipeline, Imara Daima and along Jogoo road.
Passengers plying these routes ordinarily pay between Sh50 and Sh100 per trip.
“This was a good offer and we hope to see more of these,” an excited female commuter who benefited from this offer told Nairobi News.
Burt some men felt left by the rare generous offer from matatu operators.
“I pray for the day men will also get such an offer. We consume alot of products from alcohols to condoms, ama namna gani?” one male passenger lamented.
The offer is expected to end at around 8pm on Friday.
