Citizen TV’s 10 over 10 show and Power Breakfast co-host Joey Muthengi is mourning the death of her grandmother.
Joey Muthengi made the announcement through her Instagram page as she thanked her grandmother Anna for teaching her the ways of the Lord and for being the wisest person she has ever known.
Her grandmother Anna died at the age of 108 years.
“#RestInParadise Grandma, thanks for teaching me the ways of the Lord, for loving me, for believing that I could be something extraordinary. Thanks for being the wisest person I ever knew, for mothering a clan of wonderful people. Go with God. Rest now dear susu. We love you #RIPAnna #SusuMbesa#MbaaMuthengi,” she said in her post.
She also shared the last pictures of the last walk she took with her grandmother.
Joey’s brother singer Holy Dave Muthengi in his post said that their grandmother lived a full life having seen her fourth generation and wished that she Rests in Peace.
“Celebrating the life of the woman who raised the man who raised me. Born in 1910 (108 years old), it's safe to say you lived a full life! You taught dad and the ruthless focus that he passed down to us. See you in heaven Anna Mbuu, aka Susu Mbesa, the Muthengi Family matriarch. Regrann from @joeymuthengi- Last walk I ever took with susu. #RIP. Anna. 4 generations,”Read Holy Dave’s Instagram post.
