The outgoing Bomet Governor, Isaac Ruto, who is also one of
the principals of the National Super Alliance (NASA) has said he hopes that
justice will prevail in the Supreme Court in the presidential election petition
which will be presented by NASA today (Friday, August 18).
Ruto said they have enough evidence in the petition claiming
that there were numerous election irregularities in the August 8 polls where
President Uhuru Kenyatta was declared the winner.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Ruto said although there
were some queries on the election process in gubernatorial election in Bomet
County, he is ready to hand over power to the incoming governor, Dr. Joyce
Laboso, who won on a Jubilee Party by garnering 176,511 votes (67.19%) against
Ruto of Chama Cha Mashinani who got 86,189 votes (32.81%).
He maintains that he is ready to work for Kenyans if he will
be nominated by NASA to any political position.
