National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga, has
received a huge boost after NASA supporters living in the United Kingdom
supported his move to swear himself as President of Kenya on December 12th.
During the swearing in ceremony of President Uhuru
Kenyatta on Tuesday, Raila Odinga, who was holding a parallel meeting in
Donholm, told his supporters that he will swear himself as President of Kenya
on Jamhuri Day because he won the August 8th elections.
Though many Kenyans have objected to this idea, NASA
supporters living in UK welcomed the move and said it is a good recipe for
dictators like Uhuru.
The supporters led by their Chairman, Kivindyo Ndivo, said
the move is legal and protected by the constitution.
“This position is informed by the fact that we in Diaspora
and many other Kenyans do not recognise legitimacy of Uhuru Kenyatta,”
“We also do not recognize his government despite being
coronated into office on November 28,” Ndivo said.
