Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s wife, Mama Ida Odinga,
was irritated with a decision by NASA leaders to try and swear in her husband
illegally.
According to NASA insiders, Siaya Senator, James Orengo, and
former Machakos Senator, Johnstone Muthama, were among those pushing for Raila
Odinga to be sworn in as President on December 12th.
Ida, according to insiders, expressed fears of convulsive
violence leading to deaths of innocent supporters during the illegal swearing
in.
She also feared that Raila Odinga himself would be arrested
and jailed for life and this would stress her family.
“She was very clear that the swearing-in was crazy and
wondered where it came from,” the insider said.
“She even asked Orengo and Muthama, since they were
insisting on RailaOdinga‘s swearing in, to swear themselves and leave her
husband alone,” the insider added.
