Both President Uhuru Kenyatta and Kirinnyaga Governor Anne
Waiguru used the Madaraka SGR train to head down to the coast for a governor's
conference.Taking to social media at different times, the two Jubilee leaders
posted updates about their official travel plans.
In photos seen by The Evening Post,Waiguru flooded
social media with photos of her on the train.
Most Kenyan leaders tend to spare no expenses in their
travel plans so it came as a breath of fresh air to see politicians spend less
than they normally do.
President Uhuru, on the other hand, sent out a tweet about
his travel plans. This would be his second time on the train after officially
launching the Jubilee flagship project in May 2017. The train takes an average
of 5 hours between the cities of Mombasa and Nairobi at a cost of KSh 700 for
coach and KSh 3,000 for VIP.
