Homabay teacher committed suicide after his wife left to study in a college within Homa Bay.
Employees of Agape Academy in Suba South Sub-County were left dumbfounded after receiving news that their employer, Samuel Omuga aged, committed suicide after his wife left for school.
In a note he left for his mom, Omuga revealed that he could not bear up with all the challenges that come with taking care of the child by himself.
The 44 year old man’s struggles began when he took his wife to school when they did not have a babysitter.
Area Assistant Chief William Kisima revealed that Mr Omuga was a teacher at Muiraria Primary School.
Omuga had earlier forwarded complains to his mom, he mentioned that he could not manage to take care of the baby at the same time focus on his duties in school.
"He asked his mother to look for a nanny for him. They disagreed over the idea, which angered him," said the Chief Kisima
Homa Bay County Police Commander Marius Tum stated that Mr Omuga committed suicide in his house.
"It is unfortunate that the man had to leave behind such a young family. We are investigating why he had to kill himself," Tum said.
The deceased has left behind a widow and two children.
