The identity of the man said to have booked a funeral notice that used the image of prominent business man Jimmi Wanjigi has been revealed.

In a bid to help ongoing investigations into the matter, the Nation Media Group (NMG) has released a CCTV footage of the man said to have booked the obituary space.
According to a report published by the Daily Nation on Wednesday, NMG published pictures of the person who booked the obituary under the name Jared in order to help trace him.

The Nation Media Group (NMG) on Wednesday morning sent an apology to the family of businessman Jimi Wanjigi after his photo was published in the obituary section.
In a statement through the Corporate Affairs manager Clifford Machoka, the Aga Khan-owned Media Group regretted using the picture of Mr. Wanjigi in the death announcement of a man named James Richard Wanjagi and promised to take immediate action against those responsible for the placement of the announcement.
