
Top KTN Prime Time News anchor Yvonne Okwara Matole is set to join Royal Media Services’ Citizen TV after her resignation.
According to a report by Business Today, Yvonne has already resigned and she is currently serving notice until the end of April.
The ‘Check Point’ host is said to have been poached by former KTN Managing Editor Joe Ageyo who moved to the RMS Communication Center as Editorial Director.
Yvonne Okwara will be joining former NTV Swahili Anchor Jamila Mohammed who was appointed Swahili Managing Editor at RMS after she was poached from the Aga Khan owned Nation Media Group (NMG).
Okwara who has been in the media for the last 11 years, started off her career at RMS as a radio journalist before she moved to NMG where she worked as a radio producer and a morning show host.
She joined KTN five years ago and has been serving as the Head of News Strategy and Research, as well as a content producer.
Pulse Live Kenya tried to reach Okwara for a comment but her phone went unanswered.
