President Uhuru’s son Jomo Kenyatta is set to marry in a lavish white wedding this coming Sunday.
According to the Star, the two; Jomo Kenyatta and Fiona Achola will tie knots on 8 April 2018 in a location not meant to be known by the public.
Considering they are a high-profile family, the event is expected to be an exquisite one and possibly an invites only event.
Jomo and Achola had wedded in a traditional ceremony back in 2016. The event that was full of pomp and sparkle
The event which showcased all aspects of the Kikuyu cultural wedding introduced Fiona to the family and gave her the assurance she has been well received and accepted into the Kenyatta family.
Fiona is a Luo but also relates with Ugandan and Kikuyu blood. She was received whole-heartedly in Uhuru’s rural home, Ichaweri in Gatundu where the reception took place. Fiona was received with elderly women.
Jomo and Achola were blessed with a child in November 2017. The baby girl is President Uhuru’s first grandchild. The baby was named Wanjiru.
Excitement rocked the Kenyatta family and the president took pictures with doctors and nurses of Aga Khan Hospital where the child was born.
Achola Kenyatta is the grand daughter of the late Dr. William Odongo Omamo and niece to Defence Cabinet Secretary, Raychelle Omamo.
Achola is the grand daughter of the late Luo political giant, William Omamo. Achola holds two Masters Degrees, has two sisters and is an accountant at a local bank.
