Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed has ordered all principals and their deputies to reside within the school compound.

According to the CS, this is aimed to ensure safety of students as she put secondary school administrators on high alert following the recent spate of student unrest that has seen 10 dormitories torched in the second term.

CS Mohamed has at the same time recalled all County Directors of Education who are currently on leave.
The CS also asked the school boards to assess discipline over the recent fires.
