Interior CS Fred Matiang'i's brother, John Matiang'i, has turned down a lucrative job offer to become a commissioner of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).
John, who is also the National Treasurer for the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) declined to accept the nomination as the job would have required him to work full time.
He had been nominated by the Central Organisation of Trade Unionists to represent trade unionists at the SRC.
