Replacement for James Orengo elected

Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has been elected Senate Deputy Minority leader.

Malala is now set to deputise Senate Minority leader James Orengo after the NASA coalition picked the Kakamega Senator.
The Senate Speaker is now set to officially communicate to the House on the appointment of Malala.

Malala was fighting for the coveted slot with Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina.

The position fell vacant after Orengo took over the Senate Minority leader position following the ouster of Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula.
