South African President Expected In Uganda Over The Weekend To Pay 100 Cattle Dowry

The President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to lead a team of his family to Uganda this weekend to pay dowry for his son Andile Ramaphosa.

The hyped dowry is said to consist of 100 herds of cattle and other assortment of gifts.

The bride-to-be, 37-year-old Rwakairu Bridget, is niece to former Uganda Prime Minister and presidential candidate Amama Mbabazi.

The ceremony will be on Saturday 19th May 2018 at Nyonyi Gardens in Kololo, the residence of Rt Hon Amama Mbabazi.

Mr Mbabazi took over the raising of Rwakairu after her father, the late Shadrack Rwakairu, passed away in 1983. Her mother, Ms Peace Ruhindi, is sister to Mbabazi’s wife, Jacqueline.

As the guest list remains a top secret, security has already been beefed up in anticipation of a host of dignitaries from both Johannesburg and Kampala.

The couple will wed sometime later this year.
