The health of Former President
Daniel Arap Moi has deteriorated after he underwent surgery in January.
In
January, Moi underwent surgery on his knee at Aga Khan Hospital to ease pain
and went home where he has been recuperating.
A source close to Moi’s family has
revealed that his health has deteriorated and that’s why he has been missing in
action.
When his close friend Nicholas
Biwott died, he was nowhere to be seen.
He has also been missing in many
important national events.
Moi is currently suffering from
dementia, a disorder of the mental processes caused by brain disease or
injury and marked by memory disorders, personality changes, and impaired
reasoning.
He
is currently unable to recognize many of the things he is interacting with or
what is being discussed.
He
constantly loses focus.
The
once energetic mzee has lost memory and reduced to a zombie.
He
cannot recognize his close friends, family members and things happening around
him.
We
wish him quick recovery.
